A year with the Elegance of Ecobike

Reliable, all-terrain, elegant. Three adjectives that describe clearly the advantages of this pedal assisted electric bicycle of Spanish brand.
This is the story of a year, a vehicle and a user.

This bike is one of the best tools I had in my life.

The year has resulted in these numbers:
about 4,000 kilometers
two punctures,
one time a brand new chain
adjust settings in the gear mecanism
new brake pads every 4 months (for security)
once a general checkup

Price for all repairs: 143 €.

The electrical system did not give me a single problem, even on cold days (some below 0 ° C) and rainy, on which one may fear that the battery will stop working due to some leak of water or low temperature.

It did not happen.

The Elegance of Ecobike did not let me have a bad experience in that regard.
If I had to change something, that will be using a control panel where I could choose the level of assistance with buttons instead of the throttle bearing. But this is a personal decision.

The wheels are wide and equipped for different terrains. They worked great on loose soil with gravel, sand, snow and water. In Cologne, where there are many tram routes, I never had the problem of a wheel stucked between the rails.

The suspension also provides comfort, security and flexibility to the model. Up and down curbs is easy and sometimes necessary, and the front suspension has done his work exceptionally.

I had to adjust the gear mechanism sometimes. Moreover, the gears are still in good condition and the mechanism operates smoothly, without friction.

I didn't have to change the brake levers and only the pads I have changed just about 3 times.

As advice. one should realize that in an electric bike, when the engine kicks on, produces a very heavy load over and over again in the mechanism chain-plate-sprockets. To avoid problems, better check your bike every two-three months and so you always have a perfect and safe bike to ride.

I remember a week I had to attend, every day, a conference in Bonn, it was spring, and the 30 km along the river Rhine, where there is a bike path, became a time to relax before work. I enjoy each morning with birds singing and the cool air was much more pleasant and healthy than to get on the car and find parking in the city. Autonomy even more than enough power, even choosing the greater support level.

To go shopping has also been a pleasure. Even I was glad to have forgotten some things, because it gave me an excuses to have to go back for it.

In short, a great pedelec for day to day with a mark behind that will serve you with professionalism.
